In 1938, midget car racing ceased at Lea Bridge in mid-season and for a few months the team were based at Crystal Palace. Does any member have any details of this brief period? The photo shows a Skirrow midget car, a type of racer that would have been in regular action at this time.Attachments:

This reference to Lea Bridge's move to Crystal Palace appears on the Midget Car Panorama website: "Lea Bridge’s last meeting was on July 6, against homeless Wembley in a National League match. That was the end of midget car racing at the east London tack, but the team as such was saved by former speedway rider Ron Clive who took them over and reopened Crystal Palace. But only three meetings took place at the Palace, the last being a National League match on September 3 against Belle Vue."
